We welcome individuals and groups wanting to get away from it all in a natural setting with a spirit of adventure! Privately set within 6 acres of ancient woodland and pasture, along a half mile stretch of the River Alwen, we offer camping for those who want to get back to basics with a night under the stars and a real camp fire.
The camping area is flat and sheltered for tents and camper vans. Access is over a ford in the river, so not suitable for towed caravans or large motorhomes. You are welcome to make your own fire in the fire pits provided, we just ask that you behave responsibly and respect our property and your camping neighbours. (Please note that crossing the ford and campfires are at your own risk).
Please note there are no showers on the campsite. The toilet block is open 24 hours a day for basic washing & WC. There is no electric hook up or waste disposal. Note : mobile reception in the area is poor, so a great excuse to leave your cares behind! Wi-Fi is available in the pub.
A wide selection of snacks and meals are served in the pub during opening hours. Breakfast for campers can be pre-booked the night before.
Dogs are welcome but must be on a leash at all times and we appreciate that all good dog owners ensure that their dogs are under control and any fouling is removed.
We also have a basic camping cabin in our riverside grounds, sleeps 4 comfortably, offering a great solution for campers not wanting canvas.
Lighting and heating with 24 hour access to pub toilets.
Tea and coffee facilities. Breakfast extra from pub.
Double bed with single bunk above. Floor mattress available.
